DeKalb County SPLOST II Resident Review Committee

OVERVIEW

On July 8, 2025, DeKalb County’s Board of Commissioners officially established the SPLOST II Resident Review Committee through Resolution 2025-0538. This committee replaces the former Citizens Oversight Group.

The SPLOST II Resident Review Committee is dedicated to reinforcing transparency and accountability in management of the projected $496 million SPLOST II budget by ensuring legal compliance, maintaining alignment with voter-approved spending categories, reporting on community impact, and monitoring project timelines and progress toward established goals.

Nine voting-age residents of unincorporated DeKalb County make up the SPLOST II Resident Review Committee. Each DeKalb County Commissioner appoints one member, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) appoints two. Members serve terms concurrent with the tenure of their appointing official. Any vacancy is filled through the same appointment process.
