Program Underway

The Office of Parks Bond and Greenspace has acquired more than 3000 acres for new parkland and greenspace in DeKalb. With funding coming mainly from the Parks Bond Program, and private grant sources (Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation), DeKalb has secured nearly $248 million just for the County parks system. The County has more than doubled the total existing parkland. By spreading the County's financial resources throughout DeKalb, every community will benefit from the new network of trails and parks.
