DeKalb Summer Youth Employment Program

2026 DSYEP

Overview

The 2026 DeKalb Summer Youth Employment Program (DSYEP) offers 450 paid internship opportunities for eligible DeKalb County residents ages 16 to 24. Participants will receive work readiness training and gain hands-on, real-world experience at various internship sites across DeKalb County.

 

Program Details

  • 💵 Hourly Wage: $15/hour
  • 📅 Schedule: Up to 24 hours/week (Monday – Thursday)
  • ⏳ Program Dates: June 1, 2026 – July 10, 2026
  • 🎯 Internships Available: 450 positions
 

Eligibility Requirements

To participate, applicants must:

  • ✅ Be a DeKalb County resident
  • 🎂 Be between 16 and 24 years old
  • 🧾 Successfully complete a drug screening and background check
 

Selection Process

Due to high demand, participants will be selected through a random lottery system.
Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Applicants not selected will be placed on a waiting list.
