During the 2018 Election cycle, there was an overwhelming citizen response to election issues. In response, the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners formed a working group comprised of Commissioners, citizens and Board of Registration and Elections Board members to discuss potential remedies to the issues faced by the citizens of the County.
The DeKalb Stakeholders Working Group on Elections met several times in 2019 to determine the best way to address the issues raised by the citizenry.

The Ad Hoc Committee on a Purchasing and Contracting Code will hold its meetings at 3:30 pm in the 5th floor Multi-purpose room on an Ad-Hoc basis. How do I obtain Minutes from a Board Meeting?
During the regular Board meetings, held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, the public is allowed to speak during both the Public Hearing and Comments from the Public sections. Each section has its own published guidelines on public testimony.
1. What is the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners' function?
The Board of Commissioners is the legislative branch of DeKalb County. The Board levies taxes, makes appropriations, enacts ordinances and resolutions, approves the budget, and considers zoning ordinances.
2. How many members make up the Board of Commissioners?
There are seven commissioners, one for each district. The first five districts are individual districts while the sixth and seventh districts are the two super districts.
