Friends of the Parks is the strongest voice for the protection, preservation, expansion and improvement of the county’s 6,770 acres of parks and playgrounds. Your membership to Friends of the Parks will help support our neighborhood parks and playground projects, environmental education, advocacy and volunteer programs throughout DeKalb County.

Porter Sanford, III was the third of six children born to the late Porter Sanford, Jr. and Lizzie Kate Simmons Sanford in Eatonton, Georgia on November 2, 1941.

The Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center is based on "community first" activities. It is our commitment to support civic groups, non-profit organizations, individuals, and educational entities in their quest for quality artistic performances. We provide top quality support for each event booked at the Center such as technical expertise in lighting & sound, stage design & set-up, meeting room accommodations, ushers, and event planning assistance.
