DeKalb County Warming Centers - Operated by Frontline Response
Winter Season 2025 - 2026
DeKalb County partners with Frontline Response and DeKalb County Community Development to provide warming centers during periods of dangerously cold weather. When activated, these centers offer safe, warm shelter and transportation for individuals experiencing homelessness or without access to adequate heat.
Typical Activation Schedule
Warming Center Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
After-Hours Outreach Sweeps: 12:00 AM – 2:00 AM
Note: Activation dates vary depending on weather conditions and will be announced by DeKalb Emergency Management Agency.
Services Provided During Activations
• Transportation to warming centers
• Warm indoor space
• Basic comfort items (as available)
• After-hours outreach to connect unsheltered residents with services
Who Can Use the Warming Centers?
All individuals experiencing homelessness or without a safe, warm place to stay are welcome during activation periods.

Doors open for drop-offs at 6:30PM. Early arrivals cannot be accommodated.
