The DeKalb Fire Rescue Reserve is an adult, volunteer organization that is trained and designed to support DeKalb Fire Rescue Department personnel in non-firefighting activities. Our program enables us to provide volunteer resources through training, response, and prevention. These may include: staffing and deploying a mobile kitchen (canteen unit) to large scale/long duration incidents to provide hydration and meals to public safety personnel, performing non-firefighting duties on large scale incidents as a Support Firefighter, providing mobile first aid at community events, and assisting in teaching Community Emergency Response Team classes to county citizens.
