Office of Aging

The Office of Senior Affairs was established in 1999 to serve DeKalb County’s growing and diverse senior citizen population. The office functions as an information and referral resource for seniors and the community, and maintains up-to-date information pertaining to aging trends, service needs and resources. The office also has oversight responsibility for implementation of the Community Plan for Senior Services. Effective July 1, 2003, the Office of Senior Affairs became the designated County-Based Aging Program Provider. In 2018, The Office of Senior Affairs name was changed to Office of Aging.
