| The DeKalb Office of Youth Services offers a coordinated continuum of programs that guide children and young adults toward positive, responsible citizenship. Through partnerships and evidence-based designs rooted in human development, we deliver leadership development, mentorship, arts and entertainment, technology and problem-solving, violence prevention, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. Our balanced portfolio aims to deter harmful behaviors, reduce delinquency and recidivism, and support well-rounded growth. Our mission is to empower the next generation of students, graduates, and workforce members through strategic programs and partnerships. • Just over 51,000 children under age 5 • Approximately 175,000 young people under 18 • Almost 64,000 young adults aged 18-24 |
