Lou Walker Multipurpose Senior Center The Lou Walker Senior Center is DeKalb’s first multi-purpose and county-funded senior center for active seniors age 55 and older. Named after DeKalb County’s 7th District Commissioner, Lou Walker, the 40,000 square foot facility offers spaces and amenities to meet the needs of active seniors as well as the community. Lou Walker offers its active seniors a variety of activities and amenities such as a swimming pool, a gym, an on-site hair salon and barber shop, vegetable gardens, cooking classes and so much more. |

Central DeKalb Senior Center The Central DeKalb Senior Center is a county-funded multi-purpose senior center located in the heart of DeKalb County and a block away from Toco Hill-Avis G. Williams Library. The center was built in 2014 and had its Grand Opening on February 2, 2015. The center is designed for DeKalb County residents 62 years of age and older, who are active and independent. Central DeKalb offers its senior participants a variety of activities such as arts and crafts classes, exercise classes, computer classes, line dancing, Yoga, Hootenanny, and health and wellness classes. |
