Office of Innovation & Quality Assurance

The Office of Innovation, Transformation & Quality Assurance was designed to provide operational support across divisions within the DeKalb Human Services Department. Our mission is to facilitate innovative programming, encourage the utilization of state-of-the-art technology, promote the work of the department through marketing and communications and to manage risk through process improvement and quality assurance efforts.

Our vision for the Office of Innovation is to create an environment where team members are creative visionaries who routinely seek to enhance programs, operations, services and working conditions within the DeKalb Human Services Department.

WHAT WE DO:

The Office of Innovation, Transformation & Quality Assurance is responsible for the following key areas within the DeKalb Human Services Department:

• Reporting:  Communicate information about Human Services through data collection.
   
• Interdepartmental Coordination and Collaboration:  Introduce innovative programming for families, seniors, and youth.
   
• Technology and Data Management:  Develop and maintain the best uses of current and newer technology to better support internal and external constituents for Human Services.
   
• Facilities:  In conjunction with Facilities Management, facilitate safe and healthy environments within our senior centers and administrative buildings.
   
• Special Projects:  Build a framework to identify and execute Human Services special initiatives.
   
• Quality Assurance/Compliance and Process Improvement:  Promote process improvement, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and the reduction of risk for the Human Services Department.
   
• Marketing & Communications: Rebrand, redefine, and improve communication channels to increase awareness of the Human Services Department’s services, programs, and initiatives.
