The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office is dedicated to the education of aspiring forensic scientists and allows students to meet the requirements specified by their curriculum. We offer a wide range of unpaid forensic internships that provide students with the opportunity for hands-on experience in a practical setting. Students will gain exposure to working with chain of custody, evaluating and interpreting evidence, and applying scientific principles to the medicolegal death investigation process. The duration of the Fall 2020 internships are from August 24 to December 7, 2020. The application period for this cycle will close on August 15, 2020. Applicants are required to provide a current curriculum vitae, transcript, and completed application for consideration. A background check and drug screen may be required.
