The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office is dedicated to the education of aspiring forensic scientists and allows students to meet the requirements specified by their curriculum. We offer a wide range of competitive, unpaid forensic internships that provide students with the opportunity for hands-on experience in a practical setting. Students will gain exposure to working with chain of custody, evaluating and interpreting evidence, and applying scientific principles to the medico-legal death investigation process. Internships are currently available for students pursuing a Master's degree and are offered in following departments:

The duration of the Summer 2022 internship is from June 7 to July 22, 2022. The application period for this cycle is now closed. Applicants are required to provide a current curriculum vitae, transcript, and completed application for consideration.
