A lift station is designed to move wastewater through a sewer pipe, commonly known as a force main, from a lower elevation to a higher elevation. The project includes the installation of new sewer pumps, wet well, generator, and control panels to enhance capacity as well as improve service and reliability of the existing lift station, installation of 400 feet of new ductile-iron force main sewer pipe to easily convey future flows and reduce noise, odors, and sanitary sewer overflows in the Stone Mountain area.
