The Inspection Branch conducts routine inspections of residential and commercial areas when conditions are reported or discovered that are not in accordance with the County’s Solid Waste Codes.  Responds to reports of illegal dumping, or discovers such activity through routine inspections and obtains evidence that can be used for prosecution.  Inspects County and private landfills to insure that they are in compliance with the County’s Solid Waste Ordinance or other specified local, state, and federal requirements.  Prepares written reports and correspondence; responds to complaints and questions concerning Solid Waste Violations.  Issues court summons for violations of the Solid Waste Codes and appears in Recorder’s Court to present evidence to substantiate the summons.

The Inspectors respond to complaints when there is a problem with:Trash cans being left at the curb continuously.

Residents need to schedule a special pick up for larger items to be removed.
